it is the ultimate time capsule. I have that moment forever no matter if its good or bad. I have that image of that person forever even when they walk out the door, I have that place for even when I leave. and it just makes me happy

4.subject wise what motivates you what are u truly trying to express when shooting ?

the energy surrounding whatever I'm shooting, though that sounds really, really hip-ish. I mean for the concert photos, which is the majority of what I show to the public, I try to get the a portion of the energy coming from the performers. For all the other stuff, especially when concerning portraits, I try to get a personality, or a vibe.

5. why a camera . why not drums . why not a microphone . why ?

Ohh, I have more outlets other than my camera. A lot of my stuff is private. I'm a graphics kid, thats what i study. I was the odd one in the family who turned into the art student. I am sure at one point I'll start showing more aspects of myself other than my photos to people other than my friends. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my crafts, when I feel that I'm good enough, I'll put everything out there. But my cameras just gives me this gratification that can't be matched.

6. blogs are really a voice to the world anonomously lately how does these outlets affect your life as well as your contribution blogging to others .

i've had journals since ever since i remember. but my mother began to find them and started to rip out entries and sketches and show them to people, and I didn't like that at all. So she knows nothing about computers. Then I got one of those lovely livejournals and became obsessed with blogs. I wouldn't know half of the random facts I know if it wasn't for blogs. I have a load of them that i use for inspiration, everything from the standard style blogs to people I've never met. Their updates let me step out from my box. As for mine, I am somewhat oblivious to the people who read my blog or look at my site/pictures. So i really can't say.

this weekend we played a BIKES IN THE KITCHEN SHOW at a house party on willoughby and lewis .the spot itself wasSUPER HUDGE . 3 floors house and garage .. the show was in the back garage spot and was super fun . i got the chance to play with TOTALLY MICHAEL WHO IS AMAZING and also THE VIVIAN girls who have captured my ears lately as one of the best punk bands i have heard in a long time .

the whole show went over really well no bust factor everyone was hecka chill and alot of people came out for the benefit . hers some footy from our set at the show

An Open Letter Regarding The Saturday January 26th NINJASONIK Show at The Knitting Factory

To Whom It May Concern-

First of all, we want to sincerely apologize to everybody involved with the show. We know there are a lot of people upset with the results and we are included. Obviously, we are willing to acknowledge that we are in part guilty for the way things turned out. To say the outcome is entirely our fault is a drastic overstatement though.

For those not informed, the story essentially went like this. Ninjasonik was approached with a show opportunity by a friend of our from the Knitting Factory staff. We agreed and put together a Dance party/Concert that was going to feature 3 electronic acts and one live hardcore band, as well as performances by DJ's. We had help from the awesome people Bikes In The Kitchen. In less than a week we pulled together a decent event that seemed like it was going to be great.

From the minute we arrived though the staff of the Knitting Factory (particularly the Security guards) seemed to be upset. The Night Manager seemed kind, as well as bartender and sound person, but the security guards were outright hostile. By 7:30 there were people waiting to get into the show. Security instead of allowing them to wait in the hallway outside the tap room so they could buy tickets when the time came, forced them to go upstairs. Then they told them to go outside. Then when these potential ticket buyers got upset about their poor treatment they began to respond negatively towards the security guards. The security staff then decided these people just weren't even allowed back in. Before doors even opened the SECURITY HAD INSTIGATED A VERBAL FISTICUFF. It was nonsensical. These people wanted to pay. They wanted to see the show.

On top of that, for some reason when we arrived, people were already in the tap room before the doors were open. They had not paid yet they managed to get in BEFORE DOORS OPENED. What kind of venue announces doors are at 8:30 yet allows a pack of people to enter the room before the promoter/organizers even arrive? Anyways, as it would turn out these people were willing to exit and buy tickets after we talked to them. Unfortunately, they were good friends with the people who were kicked out at 7:30, so they left. Essentially, the Knitting Factory security staff by being unnecessarily aggressive towards people that "they didn't like the look of", kicked out 30 potential ticket buyers before the show even started.

Then at 8:30 when doors were supposed to be open, they made us wait an additional 10 minutes because they had no bartender. Luckily things progressed. By 10 the room was starting to fill out. We were supposed to start our first act by 10 pm but since people were starting to dance (and since it was a dance party) we held off. The sound person obliged. After all, the first act was a short electronic set that required nothing but mics and a laptop and the band was already set up to go on quickly after. The first act performed by 11 pm. The room was very crowded by this time with people enjoying themselves.

Going back a bit, before the first act could go on, though, at around 10:30 pm Kevin (the appointed show organizer and member of Ninjasonik) was approached by the Head a Security, a short, angry man who kicked out the 30 people earlier. The Security staff shouted "Get outside. Get THE FUCK OUTSIDE!!" and began to demand that Kevin walk in front of him towards the hallway. Outside he smuggly stared kevin down and informed him in an incredibly accusative tone that somebody had photocopied drink tickets and been using them to get free drinks. Shocked and appauled by the notion that he was responsible for this, Kevin immediately told staff to stop accepting drink tickets and attempted to help find the culprit. For the rest of the night, this security guard would refer to Kevin as a "Liar", refusing to accept that maybe somebody else was behind this. This became incredibly stressful to Kevin and impaired his ability to manage the event.

Anyways, back to the show. By 11 pm the place was jumping like a good dance party should be. First act performed. Did about a 20 minute set. By 11:35 the second act, a hardcore band was on stage and playing. They brought a good following and got everybody really amped. A mosh pit broke out, like at any decent hardcore show. It did really crazy, but it was nothing that could not have been managed by calm security guards. But , At 12:05 when the band was just about to do their last song the management instructed the sound to be shut off and security swarmed the stage. They insisted the show was over and would not let Ninjasonik perform.

In response the obviously, excited crowd, many of whom had came to see Ninjasonik began to grow very upset. They chanted Ninjasonik and began to sing the lyrics to their songs. Management instructed Kevin to do something. He pleaded to let Ninjasonik do a 15 minute set. He acknowledged they were running a bit behind, but Ninajsonik according to the set list was meant to perform at 12 pm. They were only like 15 minutes behind.

In order to quell the crowd Kevin with the help of Jah Jah (the other member from Ninjasonik) demanded silence from the crowd of over 60 people. Almost everybody complied and in an orderly fashion, they all said in unison to the management "Can we please play the show??". It was an incredible sight. They still refused to allow it though, so Kevin told everybody to sit down on the ground quietly and not talk to security. At this point security began making racist statements and attempting to instigate a fight with the mixed crowd (there were people of many different colors, etc at the show, probably another reason the staff was so hostile). Kevin shouted not to talk to security or respond to them. He insisted they remain peaceful for the safety of both the staff and themselves. The crowd obliged.

At this point management still refused to allow the show so Kevin insisted they give refunds to the ticket buyers. They agreed. But there was a catch; you had to still have your ticket stub to get a refund, which most people didn't. To date we know of over 75 people who have not had their money refunded. The Knitting Factory is refusing to release the number of attendees (which was well in excess of 100) and is refusing to disperse the remaining money.

As everybody left, the security guards once again shouted in hostile tones towards Kevin and other people exiting "Get the FUCK outside". One Security member even attempted to climb the outside of the stairs in order to fight an attenddee. He had to be restrained by his fellow workers. Kevin luckily was able to catch the night managers attention to talk once more before he was forced to leave. He informed her of the awful negative experiences that many people had with her staff and she was actually upset to hear about it. Overall, Kevin and the night manager agreed the night had been a bit crazy and many things could have been done differently. She also apologized for the Security's hostility and promised to address it. Hopefully their security staff will be shaken into treating people with a bit more respect, but honestly we doubt it.

The management insisted that they never shut down shows, but we doubt that as well. We already have found people that have had similar experiences. It is sad. The Knitting Factory used to be a seminal venue in New York City. Now unfortunately it is far from that. The neighborhood of the Knitting Factory is way to upscale to ever be cool again. It is sad too because young people in New York are severely limited in their options. Most venues will not allow all age shows, and the ones who do treat the youth like vagabonds.

It is sad but true that it may be time for the Knitting Factory to either close their doors or find a new location that will allow for a more humane treatment of guests. The current location forces their security staff to act like hostile watchdogs barking at every person that enters the venue or goes outside to smoke. Also, we believe the obscene rent that the venue is most likely paying, forces it to be incredibly cheap with its resources and in turn cheap with the bands. It seems as if the Knitting Factory is raping bands, making them perform while severely limiting their energy on stage and forcing them to perform for little or no money (as well as one lousy drink ticket per person). They also appear to be raping fans, by taking their money coldly and in turn treating them like rotten cattle.

We truly believe that age and race were a factor considered by the Security staff as they intimidated and criminalized our shows attendees. We have confirmed reports that security was searching only the colored/ethnic attendees of the show, while disregarding whites. For instance, Kevin from Ninjasonik, a white man, was not searched when he entered the building, but Jah Jah (a black) was searched thoroughly. It is quite sad to see but not surprising at all. The Knitting Factory does not hire people who care about music. They hire thugs.

In summation, we believe this experience that we have had is not unusual for the Knitting Factory. We believe that many others will tell of similar stories. Talking to our friends in other bands it seems that almost all of them have had terrible experiences at the Knitting Factory. We commend them for their efforts in keeping great music in Manhattan but sincerely believe that their time is up. We ask everybody who has ever had a bad experience to contact us with a detailed report. We also ask for anybody who did not receive a refund to contact us as well. We want to compile accurate numbers to shame the Knitting Factory. Also, if you know who photocopied drink tickets we'd love to have that info cause that was fucked up too. Please come forward to help prove to the Knitting Factory staff that they were gravely wrong in accusing Kevin. Also, WE KINDLY ASK ALL BANDS THAT ARE EITHER BOOKED OR WHO GET BOOKED IN THE FUTURE AT THE NEW YORK KNITTING FACTORY TO KINDLY REFUSE TO PLAY. Feel free to tell them about this letter and their poor treatment of Ninjasonik and their guests. It is time to withhold our money from the Knitting Factory to show them their time is up as being a premier venue in New York.

The New York music scene does not need this any longer. DO NOT ATTEND SHOWS OR PLAY AT THE KNITTING FACTORY.

i just finished reading this... it was written by a very dope deejay...

this is a rant from him, abusing some of the trendy wack djays that have become soo abundent in the past few years. And, since we are friends and both operate in the "non-sell-out" world, and can abuse 99% of the djays on the planet, i had to repost this so you can read it.

it is long, but well worth it. im sure, sooo many other good djays around the world will totally agree with this...

As you have painfully had to find out first hand, all of the PROFESSIONAL artists and DJ's that you idolize, admire, and dickride, are the same exact PROFESSIONALS that have the utmost mutual respect for me, for what I do, and for what I stand for. One might wonder why any respectable artist would ever have anything to do with you? Well, it's not that hard to figure out. It's because they look at you with the mindset of "What can this chump do for me"? You are looked at as nothing but a tool. People use you for free drink tickets and a spot in the VIP line. You are simply an object that other people use in order to benefit themselves, and then they discard of you...hence the name, "tool". How does it make you feel knowing that I share a mutual respect with not only the artists that you praise, but also with my friends, fans, and other people of REAL importance…unlike the paper-thin, false admirations that you receive from the tiny flocks of sheep that don't know any better. You better believe I'll take the respect over your artificial acclaim every time!

Your musical integrity (not to mention your personal integrity) are both non-existent. You lack passion and heart, and it shows in everything that you do. You have no product whatsoever. No music, no songs, no projects, no CD's, no merchandise, NO ANYTHING!? You have absolutely nothing to show for the self-proclaimed "accomplished DJ" that you WISH you were. Not to mention that you lack credibility, originality, creativity, marketability, talent, and every other key element that it takes to be an accomplished and respected DJ. Nobody knows who you are, and nobody has ever heard of you outside of the city that you live in. You have no fan base, and zero following. Nobody is interested in who you are or what you're doing because you're not offering anything that can't be seen and done by 10 million other run-of-the-mill, mediocre dj's, JUST LIKE YOU!

You spin pop music at the corniest, cookie-cutter, meatmarket clubs in town, for a bunch of teenagers with fake tans and fake tits. You are absolutely NOT a commodity. In fact, you can be replaced at the drop of a hat. Sorry to break the news, but nobody that would show up to a club you're spinning at could give a shit less if you're there playing music or not. In fact, the only reason that there might be some people hanging out at a club you're playing music at, is because they want to get shit-faced drunk, and try to hookup with somebody as equally superficial and ignorant as they are. Nobody gives a shit if you are there spinning the music or not, because AGAIN, you aren't offering anything special or different...just the same old watered-down pop music, all tangled together with your inferior DJ "skills". How humiliating!

You have no dedication, respect, or loyalty to this HipHop shit, therefore your longevity in this HipHop shit is minimal. Your only concern is taking shortcuts and trying to make that quick buck. Unfortunately for you, your shameless and ill-mannered actions are in fact going to seal your fate in both this culture, and this industry. Like the saying goes, "there are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going", so maybe if you'd stop being so arrogant and ignorant for a moment, you might realize that you're really only headed one way down a dead end road. It's sad and disrespectful that you only see hiphop and music as a paycheck...and so on behalf of hiphop, in return we only see you as a fucking ass-clown, with a diminishing reputation, the dignity of a schmuck, and the credibility of a fly-by-night poser. You can't even back up, nor live up to any of the silly false hype that you've tried to create about yourself. You are so OVER-RATED that it's embarrassing. Not to mention that you OVERCHARGE for your BELOW AVERAGE "dj" services. In fact, I almost feel bad for anyone that would actually pay you for the "DJ Services" that you supposedly provide. Not to mention your attempts at persuading people into believing there are actually legitimate companies that would sponsor you for DJ'ing are a JOKE! In reality, I'm betting that you're actually only "sponsored" by your homely girlfriend that just coincidentally happens to work for a company that sends you key chains and brochures to give away at your fabricated, fake-n'-bake functions. Who the fuck do you think you're kidding anyway? No more smoke and mirrors you jackass. On a good day, you might be able to hustle a couple of naïve teenagers with your gimmicks and your trickery, but you ain't never gonna fool me.

You see, I do this music first and foremost because I am an artist, and it is my PASSION. I love what I do! You wouldn't understand that because YOU are NOT an artist! YOU are barely even a DJ....and you are FAR from the celebrity DJ that you PRETEND to be. What you ARE however, is merely just a wannabe. Better yet, you're just a wannabe "glamour DJ"...nothing but a lame personality (and a pretty lousy, shallow, unconvincing one at that). In fact, you have to work as hard as you possibly can to try and fool people into believing that you are a "hip" person, because your blatant lack of real talent, skills, and "hipness", sure as hell isn't fooling anybody into thinking that you're a good DJ.
Do you actually think that your size medium, $75 dollar, designer "I love hiphop" t-shirt, your skintight jeans, and your laughable Nike dunk collection are fooling anyone??? I think not. The next thing you know you'll have a fucking faux hawk, and you'll be wearing eye liner and playing music from your ipod mixing console while bragging that you partied with Nicole Ritchie's hairstylist?!? You're nothing but a wannabe hipster, and just an overall fucking dork! There are already way too many of you wannabe glamour DJ's out there that are faking the funk. The last thing the world needs is yet another one of you bozos running around ruining the reputation of us REAL DJ's.

One thing you ARE good at however, is being the BIGGEST, brown nosing, ass kissing, dick sucker that I've ever seen. I gotta give it to you on that one. You can probably suck a golf ball through a garden hose? You must be real proud of that aye? In fact, without those skills, you probably wouldn't even have been able to secure the "speed bump" status that you've managed to obtain for yourself. You know, there's nothing wrong with making money and becoming successful, but so far you've managed to do neither, which is not all that surprising considering that everything you've "accomplished" thus far in your life is based on a complete hoax. Maybe you'd have better luck if you acquired some fucking tact and some pride. Ya know, earn your success, and do it respectfully and tastefully. Try being genuine for a change…it's really not that hard. All you've achieved thus far is the loss of respect from pretty much everyone you've ever come in contact with that has enough common sense to see through your bullshit.

See, the big difference between me and you is that I don't owe any favors. Nobody "put me on" like they put YOU on. Everything in life hasn't been served to me on a silver spoon like it has for you Ricky Schroder. Not that it's your fault if you come from wealth, but what you fail to understand is that it's REAL struggle and REAL sacrifice that makes ones appreciation and strive for everything in life (including success) become that much more important and cherished...and THAT my friend, is what places people like YOU behind the likes of people such as myself. Everything I achieve is because I work hard for it and I EARN it. I pay my dues, I'm dedicated, I'm creative, I'm confident, I'm determined, I'm humble, and I have enough integrity to sink an oil tanker! It's no wonder you consider me a threat!? I make a living doing what I LOVE TO DO for christ sake! It's not everyone that can say that. I feel blessed! You on the other hand, have been faking the struggle since day one, you chump. You're just this pathetic little person, trapped inside the shell of an even more insecure little person. It must suck to be you? You're a spoiled, trust fund brat from the burbs, who only got into Dj'ing because you look at it as the popular thing of the moment, and you hoped that it would make your appear cooler in the eyes of all your fake friends. You've become a slave to an industry in which nobody gives a flying fuck about you. You'll conform to whatever it is you think happens to be the current fad, just so you can try and be a part of the band wagon. Clowns like you come a dime a dozen, therefore nobody gives a shit about what you supposedly have to offer, (other than maybe that free drink ticket). I'm sorry that the whole DJ thing isn't working out for you. I'm sure it won't be long until you find something else that you think is cooler, and then you'll move on to whatever you think that next fad might happen to be. Why don't you do everyone a favor and give yourself a big fat reality check by weighing our accomplishments against each other, you silver shirt wearing, metro-sexual douche bag. Open your eyes and figure it out!

Do I think I'm perfect? Absolutely not. Do I think my shit don't stink? No, not by any means. However, I constantly make the efforts and the attempts at trying to preserve, advance, and better both myself, this artform, AND the culture that I love. Whereas you on the other hand constantly try to mislead, manipulate, deceive, and exploit! Unfortunately for you, I refuse to sit back in silence and watch you take a shit on everything I love, and it's about time that somebody lifted up your skirt and exposed you for the rodent that you are. There's a little weasel behind all your fake smiles and handshakes, and if I catch that little weasel, somebody better call PETA because I swear to god I'm going to annihilate that rodent into nonexistence!

You see, at the end of the day when everything is all said and done, you can put your phony image, the nightlife scene, the music industry, and all your other bullshit aside...because what it all really boils down to is how well you're sleeping at night. And TRUST ME, I'm sleeping WELL! As a matter of fact, I'm sleeping like a little baby, all curled up in a cute little ball, drooling all over myself while I'm in dreamland. The reason I sleep so well is because I keep it true...true to the music, true to the culture, true to my friends, true to my fans, and most importantly...true to myself. And THAT my friend is REAL SUCCESS! In the mean time, you're tossing and turning all night wondering why nobody respects you and why nobody takes you seriously. So as of today, I'm volunteering you as the human punching bag in this new little game I've invented called "Slap the Clown". Here's how the game works… Anytime I hear someone tell me that you've mentioned my name, I will in turn slap the living shit out of you immediately upon seeing you. Whether it's at the grocery store, the mall, a concert, or at church, it just doesn't matter, you're catching a backhand to your dishonorable little mouth. Also, to spice the game up a little, it also makes no difference whether you've mentioned my name in a positive or negative manner. It just doesn't matter. But don't worry too much, it really is a pretty easy game. Just don't mention my name, and you probably won't get bitch slapped. I look forward to playing "Slap the Clown" with you.

Does this blog sound a bit negative and hateful? Well, maybe a little bit. Does it make me sound bitter? Maybe a touch. But ya know what? The truth isn't always gonna be rainbows, smiley faces, and bubblegum. In fact, in most cases (including this one) it's the truth that hurts the most. And like I've said before, I’m tired of biting my tongue on the account of sparing the feelings of some jackass like you. I've invested way too much of my life on this shit to continue letting suckers like you get away with your little shenanigans, and it's long overdue that somebody aired you out and shed some light on the shiesty little leech that you really are. It's time that cats started speaking up for what's right. If I gotta be the one that's labeled as the "dickhead" simply because I speak up for what's right, because I stand up for what I believe in, and because I speak the truth, and I speak it loudly- then so be it. I'll be the dickhead, but at least somebody still has the balls, the dignity, and the integrity to stand up for the truth, and that's a lot more than can be said for a fucking turd like you.

Is this blog aimed at anyone in particular you ask? Not entirely, no.
As a matter of fact, whoever happens to become offended by reading this blog, is precisely the person that this is intended for.

last friday there was an infamous chicken hut party currated by BIKES IN THE KITCHEN !

i liked to kall it BIKES in the CHICKEN(hut) !!
this was our second show and people were into it ! unfourtantly some one threw a bottle at the cops from the roof during some point and the cops shut down the party so
1,103 had to leave ( no not kidding there was a count of people there ) .. hopefully they had a good time seeing ninjasonik , and team robespiere play
and the lucky troopers who didnt leave and stuck around got to see japanther at about 430 am! whoah !
